Discriptive Writing
We have been learning to add descriptions to our writing. This activity was enjoyable because we got to use our imagination. My next step is to think of different ways to incorporate figurative language into my writing.

Whale Rider Prediction
Today I have been learning to make justified predictions from the story 'Whale Rider'.
This activity was easy because the blurb was very comprehensive and I have made many predictions before.

Equivalent Fractions
In this activity we had to find equivalent fractions.
I know basic facts and it really helps when you are finding equivalent fractions .
I found this activity easy because I am confident with fractions.
I have met the success criteria because I was able to identify the equivalent fractions.

Hoshino Visit
On Thursday 23rd August visitors from the Japanese school Hoshino Gakuen Came to our school.
This gave us a chance to learn about the Japanese culture as well as teaching them about the Kiwi culture.
I really enjoyed doing the activities they set up for us such as... paper sumo, origami and spinning tops.
I had a buddy named Yusuke. Yusuke and I had a fun time and we got to know each other.
I look forward to learning more about foreign cultures.
